Ishpeming, MIJuly 4, 2016 — The Fourth of July parade in Ishpeming was something great to see. The day was already heating up by the time everyone was lining up to start! This year, Sunny.fm, 103FXD and WRUP were well represented for Great Lakes Radio. Todd Noordyk, our leader here at Great Lakes Radio, was heading up our vehicles with Adam Carpenter from the Outdoor Show. They were riding in style in a Kawasaki Mule from Zambon’s in Marquette with  Miss Pre-Teen Great Lakes State and Miss Pre-Teen Upper Midwest in tow in the boat passing out candy with smiles and waves.

Lane Dawson was driving the 103 FXD truck with the sweet Nancy Longtine as his co-pilot. Premium Pole Buildings and Storage Sheds was behind them with our newest giveaway prize, the Steamin’ Summer Sauna, being pulled by the Gravedoni’s. Bill Tibor

was following them in the WRUP van with Mike and Walt from the Sunny Morning Show completing our line-up.

There was a good showing of floats and groups on this gorgeous Independence Day. I, personally, was happy to see all of the high school reunion floats. Another parade favorite of mine was bagpipes and dancers from the Superior Pipes and Drums.

It’s a wonderful sunny day for celebrating The United States of America’s independence. Let us know how you celebrated your holiday or any of your favorite attractions from the parade!
